An abdominal wheel is a very effective method to train all abdominal muscles, both the straight, transverse and oblique abdominal muscles can all be trained with this. An ab wheel is ideal and I use it regularly during my workouts. It is always a good exercise with enough possibilities to make it heavier or lighter if necessary.
The extra options in the package are ideal for a beginner who has little material. I only use this when I am traveling to stay in shape and for that it is very handy.
